Quick Update

Let’s see, we had a “professional” photo shoot to get family pictures for Christmas cards… but after one week of “I finished them and I’ll upload them today”… “Oops, my website is not working, I’ll email them to you.” And then no response to my emails for two weeks, I decided to chalk it up to a bad experience and got my cards on Snapfish (they arrived yesterday). I used four pictures that I took including this one…

I have names of two other photographers that I might try out next year. Or not… I’m getting addicted to Snapfish. There was a free photo book offer on Oprah’s website so I did that for Henry’s first year (technically his first 11 months since his birthday is still over two weeks away).

I wanted to get some good photos for my living room wall in addition to the Christmas cards. There were one or two that I kind of liked but I’m not sure if I like them enough to support her business (in addition to ignoring me for the past two weeks, most of the family shots are focused on Henry’s foot with our faces out of focus)… but that is off topic and I don’t want to dwell on this… Anyway, I originally wanted to get this Picture Wall (as seen on Divine Design). Instead I went with this. Umm… but looking on Target.com I just found this too. I might have to think some more…

I had decided that I wanted a photo wall as my reward for reaching my one year goal. Yup, the time has come for me to wean off the pump. I have over 300 oz in the freezer and will coast into his first birthday and get him onto whole milk as my supply dwindles. I’m very glad and proud that I’ve been able to give him the very best and I haven’t needed formula since he was 8 weeks old! But I’m looking forward to not having to drag my pump with me everywhere (not so much everywhere these days since I’m down to 3x a day). I’m also looking forward to getting some nice clothes (mostly tops and bras) post weaning.

  1. I love the 2nd Target link. Am I horribly cheap, or are those frames expensive? LOL. We only have 2 framed pics of the kids in the living room right now and I would love to have more up. We get frames at AC Moore when they’re on sale. :)

    BTW, you’ve been tagged!

  3. One year! Congratulations! The photo is so cute. I agree with doing the photos yourself. Photobooks are great, aren’t they? I love flipping through them. I have to make 2 more books for Mehul. One of these days..
I love the collage of frames. It seems expensive to me too but they’ve done all the thinking for you. Good luck with the decision.

  4. Congratulations on making it a year with the pumping! I did the same; finally weaned my son at 14 months (well, he weaned himself). It was hard after going back to work at 3 months and keeping up with the pumping and freezing, but I was really glad I made it.

I love the idea of a photo wall; can’t wait to see which one you end up choosing.
