I’m all alone…
March 3, 2008 on 2:37 pm | In Uncategorized | 4 CommentsIt felt strange/sad to leave Henry at the daycare. He was getting his lunch as I left. I talked a bit with Stacie (the head “teacher”) while she went thru everything I brought (diapers, wipes, extra clothes, etc). Before I left, I went over to say goodbye to Henry and his face lit up and he had this huge smile just for me. He is in good hands, so I’m not worried about that. It just feels strange to be at home with him not here. But I have to leave in about three minutes to go get my car worked on. I should make it back home about an hour or so before DH and Henry. Hopefully I’ll feel better about leaving him at daycare so I won’t cry on the way to work on Wednesday. But I do feel guilty for going back to work and putting him in daycare. I was telling him on the drive over that I have to go back to work keep in him the “lifestyle to which he has grown accustomed”, ie house, car, diapers. And that he will have lots of fun with Ms Stephanie and Ms Stacie and he’ll make lots of new friends (when he gets older). I was mainly talking to him because he was grumpy and cry since I woke him up early from his nap.

You’ll be ok because no matter what, there’s nothing that compares to Mommy! There are smiles, squeals and gurgles that are *just* for Mommy.

{{Jenni}} I hope tomorrow goes well. It will be hard but in the end, everything will work out for the best.
Now that you’ll be back to work, maybe we can get together for lunch. After you’re all caught up with work ofcourse.

Been there, done that, cried on the T-shirt. It does get better. At the end of the day, all that matters is that you have a happy and healthy family. Take care and have fun with your little one.
