SoOR Progress

Last week was Scent of Old Roses, this week is Spring Valley in my new rotation. So, I’m hoping with the new rotation that I’ll progress pictures on Mondays when I change projects.

On Saturday, we hit a bunch of stores before going to Crystal Cavern at Hupp’s Hill in Strasburg, VA for their haunted lantern tour. It was pretty neat. They had put little pumpkins with tea lights all long the path and put halloween decorations up. Afterwards, they took us to part of the trail that went through the battleground where boy scouts were positions to scare us. We were in the first group that did the tour at 6pm. So, it wasn’t quite dark out and we were the first run with the boy scouts. They weren’t ready when we got there and then they didn’t quite have their act together. It was probably more funny than scarey.

DH wanted to hit a bunch of antique stores so since we delivered the pudding brain to my sister for the church Halloween party and were near by, we went into Frederick to hit the antique stores there. I also found a new LYS that opened about two weeks earlier and of course we had to stop by. I got the Dale 139 book with the girl wearing the cute jumper with the chicken on front. Then we hit AC Moore on our way to VA. I had heard that they now had Lanarte’s Butterfly Fairies leaflet and it has been on my wishlist since I heard that leaflet was out. Apparently it is on everyone’s wish list since they were out. But they were having a yarn sale, so I got 2 balls of Alpaca for me and 2 balls of something similar to Cashmerino for my niece’s Christmas present. I also got a bunch of double points and some children needles for my niece.
