Today is our anniversary!

I know he doesn’t read this, but happy anniversary, honey! No big plans… we decided instead of buying a Kitchenaide stand mixer as a gift, we will be buying a new engine for DH’s truck… how exciting… Hopefully it will be finished in the next day or two so I can get my car back! While driving my friend’s Wrangler has been fun, I miss my RAV4.I finished up my Chinese dragon over the weekend. The directions were easy to follow. The only problem I had was getting 4 size 26 gauge wires through a size 11 bead… not gonna happen. Or when I was suppose to get 2 size 28 gauge wires and 2 size 26 gauge wires through a size 8 bead, also not gonna happen. So, when I was supposed to be doing that, I modified the design. Maybe it was because I was using colored wire? Do they take the propper gauge wire and then add a coating of color? That would leave the wire diameter larger than the gauge should be. That would explain the difficulties I had. But I think he still came out cute. He is a bit on the dorky side but since this is my first every beading project, I’m fine with that little bit of extra character.Stitchers Five!1. What is your favourite fabric to use? (e.g. aida, evenweave, linen etc)

I like evenweave best. The engineer in me likes my fabric to look like a grid and be uniform.

2. What is your favourite count (e.g. 14, 28, 32 etc)

Size 28 is my default favorite.

3. Do you collect fabric “just to have” or do you buy it with a design in mind?

I belonged to a fabric of the month club for a little over a year. I now use that stash for designs unless I don’t have a piece large enough.

4. What is your favourite colour for fabric?

My default is antique white.

5. If you were heading for a desert island, and you only had one choice of fabric to take with you, what would you take?

Can I get some more of the antique white murano (30 count please)?
