Sitting Unsupported
June 10, 2008 on 1:56 pm | In Uncategorized | 1 CommentSo, my question is how long do they have to be able to sit unsupported before it is considered sitting unsupported. He can probably go a couple of minutes before he ends up on his back or face. We cheated with this photo. Since he could arch his back at any point, we like to sit behind him or have a hand there to catch him just in case (daddy’s hand is just out of frame).
And since this is becoming a baby blog, I’ll mention that I’ve been working on the small funky monkey and should be finished any day now. I have the body (with tail and legs) finished as well as two arms. I just have to knit the little i-cord ears and then finish it all up and I’ll have myself a little monkey.

I’d say it depends on how steady he is. If he wobbles like he’s having trouble keeping his balance, then it doesn’t quite count. But if he’s sitting pretty steady (until he arches his back) for a couple of minutes, then he’s there.
