This past weekend was our 2nd annual Coolfont stitching retreat. I wove, I stitched, and I knitted. I did bring my drop spindle but it stayed in the bag all weekend. It was a wild weekend (okay maybe not), but it was definitely fun.

Sue got a little crazy and ended up with a lamp shade on her head. Here she is posing with my new lamb, Peppermint (named after the chalet we stayed in).

But this is how we spend almost the entire weekend…

A variety of projects were worked on: L&L’s Celtic Summer, Chatelaine’s Misty Morning Vineyard, Dracolair’s Phoenix (x3), Dracolair’s Dragon Knot Bookmark, Dimension’s Brilliant Butterfly Celebration, Mirabilia’s Petal Fairy, Frank Lloyd Wright Waterlillies, and Stoney Creek’s Noah’s Sub.

I worked on my Phoenix when I wasn’t weaving or knitting. Here is my progress on Phoenix.

I also worked on my Tivoli

And of course I did my first weaving sample. I did some plainweave, twill, mock satin, double weave twill, and in general was just playing around.
