Happy Birthday to me!

Actually my birthday is tomorrow… yes I know, not a great day to have a birthday. But people do tend to remember it better now. But since I don’t post over the weekends and we had a little party last night at our weekly stitching night, I knew I’d just have to post what Sue made me for my birthday! It is awesome! Of course the running joke is that we share a brain cell or two. I was going to make this for her birthday, but it took over a month to get to me (when I specifically said I wanted to stitch it for my friend’s birthday the following month and needed it asap). It ended up getting to me the week before her birthday. I was going to make it for her for Christmas instead… but gee, now I’m not so sure! Especially since I can use all her leftover floss to make it. So, I’ll probably make it, but it won’t really be a surprise now.

So, I present, Friends by Dimple Designs. It was framed by Cindy at the Hang Up (Sterling, VA). The story is that after Cindy finished oohing and aahing over it, she said she had the perfect frame and started a mad search to find it. It is a black frame that very subtly looks like bamboo. The two matts are both suede and stand off from the fabric for a 3D effect. Very cool!
