I finished up all the x’s over the weekend and just have miles of backstitching and some beads to add before it is finished.

The first weekend of August is the 3rd annual Coolfont retreat for the Thursday night stitchers (we’ve grown over the past three years from 4 to 7!). I have been saying that if I finish Phoenix before then, that I would start a new project. Phoenix was our stitch along project last year (I cheated and started it a month early). So, I want to make sure that last year’s project is finished before I start a new one.

And for anyone who cares, my (non-Apple) iPod charge was replaced and instead of mailing back the broken one, CompUSA said just to keep it since it wouldn’t be worth it to ship it back. The charger is made up of two pieces, the part that plugs in to the wall and the cable between that part and the iPod (which also can be used to connect to the computer). I now have two plug in parts, one working cable, and one broken cable. I can use the plug in part with the Apple cable that came with the iPod, so I have two full charging sets. I’ll keep the Apple cable at home near my computer since that is the only computer with the iPod driver and iTunes installed on it. And now I can leave the other set at work (I had been shuffling the Apple cable back and forth).

And the count down is ticking, T-4 days until I get my hair cut!
