Major Startitist

I love festivals, but boy the week afterwards is hard.  I have so many projects swirling around in my head that I want to work on.  And I doesn’t help that this week one project went into the frog pile and I finished my second monkey socks… did I post a picture of them?

So, right now I have visions of Cookie A socks, lace projects and spinning projects all swarming through my head.  I cast on some Noro sock yarn last night for a pair of Kai-Mei socks, but the ribbing wasn’t ribbing right (no elasticity).  I’m not sure if it is me, the yarn or the K3P3 ribbing.  I’ll knit some more tonight and see if it really doesn’t have any elasticity or if I didn’t have enough progress to tell.

I also bought Rona Lace Shawl…[I blame Shalini ;-)] from Knit picks.  I’m thinking about using the dark brown that I bought from Tess’ Designer Yarns this weekend.  And I want to cast-on tonight, but I think I’ll wait a bit longer.  If the rain holds off, I want to get the new tent up to seal the seams before our camping trip.

  1. Who, me? I di’n do nothin’ LOL!

That shawl is to die for. My vote is to start it!

I have the same visions swirling in my head – lace shawls, lacey socks, hats. OH how to prioritize!!

I had not seen these monkey socks. They look very happy on your feet.

What size do you make your socks? I want to get it right this time. I started a pair tonight with gauge 7, circumference 7.5, 52 stitches but it looks small. I’m using size 3 needles.
