Tangled Up in Putty
March 25, 2009 on 11:50 am | In Henry | 1 CommentI found my Chibi and scissors (didn’t take long, they were on my computer desk). So, I sat down and grafted the toes while watching the Biggest Loser last night (Go Tara!).
Things I wish I had done differently.
- After Emily’s Socks didn’t work out, I didn’t frog the entire sock, I left the ribbing in place (2×1). A 2×2 ribbing would have worked with the pattern better.
- Tangled Up in Blue has a different heel than the directions I followed for a standard slip stitch heel. I wish I had done the TUiB directions because it looks like 2×2 ribbing and would have worked with the pattern better.
- The directions I followed for the toes have you decreasing until 16 stitches remain on each sock. I think that is too pointy for my feet. I should have stopped at 28 (like the Monkey socks do).
But besides those small things, they fit very very well (I’m wearing them right now) and I like how easily they go on and how soft and squishy the yarn (Knit Picks Felici in color Putty) is.
Next up is finalizing the pattern decision for one of my Painted Tiger sock blanks. Hopefully I’ll make the decision today and cast on tonight.

I really like how the socks turned out, Jenni!! They’re a great colour combo.
