Bye Bye Baby Bottles

It is hard to believe but that is now behind us…  Henry hasn’t had a baby bottle for over 2 weeks now.  For the past two weeks we’ve been using the Avent clear bottle with the sippy spout and handles.  This weekend I tried the entire sippy cup (including the opaque cup part) and he had problems.  I also found out last week that daycare has been using a different cup.  So, I brought the two of those out of the cabinet, too.

So, this weekend I started to pack up all the baby bottle stuff.  I had already packed up all my pumping gear last month (and collection bottles and all the other misc stuff).  And more importantly, Scott gets the right side of the sink back.  I’ve used that for the past year for hand washing all the baby bottles.  I’ve also cleared off the counter near the sink where I air dried all the parts.  Our baby is starting to really grow up.

My little buddy is also start to express preferences.  He likes his big boy shoes (hard soles) more than his soft soled shoes (Ministar by Bobux).  Before church yesterday he had a slight melt down because I wanted him to wear a pair of his soft soled shoes and he wanted to wear his big boy shoes.  Shoes are definitely not on the list of things worth fighting for, so he got to wear his big boy shoes and he was happy.  It is so cute though.  He’ll bring the shoes over, hand them to me and sit in my lap so I can put them onii.  You just have to watch where he sits.  He turns around and backs up before going plop.  Half the time he ends up on my leg instead of in my lap.  But that is better that what happened to Scott.  Henry sat on his face (or attempted to).
