He’s gonna kill me one day…

But I gotta say that I love watching Henry’s little tush walk from his bedroom to our bathroom each evening…

I just got back from the doctor and I’m not really any further along to making this all go away as I was yesterday.  Did I mention that my right knee is also stiff and swollen?  As a result, she took blood to check for Lyme’s Disease.  As I was telling Scott, I don’t think that is the problem, but I have no problem with them doing the test.  I know that a lot of times when it is Lyme’s Disease, they don’t realize it until way late.  So, getting that cleared right away is a good idea to me.  She also took blood for a CBC and metabolic panel.  If everything comes back fine, then she is going to refer me to an orthopedist.

I just wanted to add something about toddler sizing (and infant sizing) for clothes.  Mainly because I’m feeling a bit guilty that an outfit that Henry got for Christmas doesn’t fit him.  The pants barely fit him before washing and was an inch short after, the shirt is strange in that the length is just fine but the arms are short.  I find that strange because the order of growing out of clothes for Henry is leg, torso, and then arms.  His shoulders and arms are probably a full size smaller than the rest of him.  The coat that came in this set seems to be fitting him still and he is going to wear it until it doesn’t fit him anymore.  But why do I feel guilt?  When asked what size, I said 18m and he was given 12m.  When something says 3m, it really means 0-3m.  Why is it hard to believe that I requested 18m (or 12-18m) for my 13m old?  So, that got me thinking, when does this switch over to being about the same age (ie 3T for a 3 year old).  The answer, I just found is 24 months.  Or more specifically when you go from 24 months to 2T (and the difference between something like 4T and 4 is diaper room and length).  And on a similar topic, what are you to do when 12 m pants are too short (important in winter so his ankles don’t get cold) and 18m are too long (important for a new walker that you don’t want tripping over his pants)?  We are currently in that fuzzy time where I have to find the 12m pants that run long (like a pair of Mikey khakis he has) or 18m’s that run short.  Ah, the fun of babies…
