Baby’s First Yoda

I knew Scott had ordered this, but I didn’t realize until last night when he went to put Yoda in the nursery that he bought him for our little guy.  I thought he had ordered it for his cube at work.  And just last week my boss asked me if Scott had bought the baby a train set or something along those lines.  The answer was no, Scott hadn’t really bought much for the baby (he bought some paint and molding and the V2.0 and V1.0 shirts I got for my birthday, but that was it).  But this little Yoda is the first toy Scott has bought for his son <sniff, sniff, awww>.

Also arriving yesterday was Scott’s birthday present.  His birthday isn’t until the 19th, but well, the package kind of had pictures and words about what was inside so I let him open it up last night.

I got him a cider press for all those apple trees he’s planted over the past two years (and the one adult tree we “found” in our yard).  Now we don’t have to go to the in-laws to made cider from our apples.  When I got home I asked him if the package had arrived (it needed to be signed for) and he said that the UPS guy came to the front door with two of his packages and asked if he could leave the third one near the garage (our front door is up a flight of stairs from the driveway/garage).  And then Scott said that my “little” package arrived.  This thing is a lot bigger than I was expecting.  I wanted to get something similar to what his parents have, but ours is a lot bigger (16 quarts).  Good thing since we have more trees than his parents (but ours are still baby trees right now).

And since I had the camera out, I took a picture of the pitcher plant that I bought Scott last weekend.  He sure loves him some carnivorous plants.
