Bamboo Sock Yarn
October 6, 2006 on 12:00 am | In Uncategorized | Comments Off on Bamboo Sock YarnEvery since the Regia Bamboo sock yarn arrived in the mail earlier this week, I’ve been fondly dreaming of knitting socks. I’ve even gone so far as to take the sock yarn with me to work to fondle all day long! I’ve been calling them my happy socks. I went with the bright rainbow colors of Jaffa because I was feeling a bit down when I placed the order. Now, I’m trying to find the perfect pattern for them. I don’t want to repeat anything I’ve already done, but I want something that will set off the varigated colors well (like Jaywalkers).
There was a Name Game that I saw on someone else blog (can’t remember where, not a big surprise since there are over three hundred blogs that I follow on Bloglines). But I was reading it to DH and having him come with up his names. I think my best two were my Movie Star and Soap Opera Names, Hermina Snickers and Ayn San Marcos. But DH’s Movie Star name beat them both… Leo Dean Jelly Bean.
And for those who are keeping track, I finished three hedgehog front yesterday (okay technically it was only 2.75 front, but I’m rounding up). That means only two more hedgehog fronts and five back to go before I can start concentrating on socks! And… only three weeks to go until we (me and my mommy) leave for NZ!
I was talking to a co-worker about the flight to NZ and it looks like my entire Saturday will last just over eight hours (I think) if you go by the suggestion of changing your watch to your destination time as soon as you board.
