MDS&W
May 5, 2006 on 12:00 am | In Uncategorized | Comments Off on MDS&WI get to go this year! It was horrible last year living one hour away and not being able to make it. My sister had a birthday party for two of her girls and the next day I flew to CA for work. But this year I’m going tomorrow!
I don’t have a lot on my list. I want to check out some non-wool sock yarn. I need a orifice hook for my new high speed flyer. And I want to look into some different wool types that I haven’t spun yet.
On the stitching front, I think I got my groove back. I worked on Phoenix last night for the first time in months and I didn’t realize how close I was to finishing it! I’m at the point where I’m going back and filling in the missing stitches. Then it is just the miles and miles of backstitching. So, thinking this, I of course immediately starting kitting up a new design (okay, I starting thinking about kitting the design up a couple of hours before this realization). But I have the chart printed and half the floss assembled. I just need to buy the rest of the floss and pick some fabric before I get to start HAED’s Dreaming Mermaid QS. I think for this one I’ll go 1 over 1 on a 28 count. I have lots of fabric in my stash from my fabric of the month days, so I’ll just pick from them.
