Miscellaneous Goo
April 11, 2006 on 12:00 am | In Uncategorized | Comments Off on Miscellaneous GooLet’s see if I can get the blog entry to capture everything popping through my brain…
I got two of the four packages I was waiting for on Friday. The other two are still not here yet. I figure it is because they are both Pacel Post and my post office has the usual small town efficiency. So, what did I get you ask…
The first package had fun things like multi-rib serpentine belt, air filter, and spark plugs (already had oil filter and synthetic oil in the garage). My car was close to 100k over the weekend and I wanted to give it a tune up (it hit 100k last night on the way home from work). I thought my car would be happy that I did this. Instead I have some nasty bruises on my arm to show for all my effort.
My other package was my order of Bare Minerals. I decided I’ve hit the age where I need to start wearing a little bit of makeup and decided to try it out.
The two other packages I’m not so patiently waiting for are my eBay EZ Knittr win and a cone of cotton. I’m really eager to play with the EZ Knittr and see if I can get my idea into action. See Machine Knitting to Dye For to get an idea of what I want to do. My first idea is to machine knit enough of the cone of cotton to make Ribby Shell and dye it like the discontinued yarn Phildar Onde in browns and golds.
Next goo on the brain, I need to stop buying things! Today I bought HAED’s Quick Stitch Dreaming Mermaid. I’m not a big mermaid fan, they are okay. But I love the colors in this design.
Running and weight loss. I’m not losing any weight, but the pants and shirts are getting looser. I’m glad that I got DH into this running thing too. We are starting to hit the local high school’s 5k cross country course every Sunday. One day I’ll be able to run the entire thing without walking. But I’m not quite there yet.
And lastly, April Showers bring cute ducks in rain gear.
