Thank you

For all the suggestions. While the gray would work, it definitely isn’t us. Even my DH was asking what was up with all the gray suggestions. I think I’ll end up with Glenda’s suggestion of beiges. I left out some details about the area that would probably have helped. The kitchen walls are mostly tiled except for the part above the cabinets. The dining room is actually just on the other side of the granite picture I posted (it was from the peninsula). So, I want to have the same color for both areas (since it is basically one big room). I have some pictures of the two areas in my gallery if you want to take a look. I don’t know why I didn’t think about it, but the tile is a beige color, so I’ll probably use that to pick the color for the top of the room. And Sue came up with a great idea, bamboo wallpaper for under the chair rail (which is very us) in the dining room. Anything to get rid of the green walls and floral wallpaper! And one day I’ll check to see what is underneath the carpet in the kitchen. I know, carpet in the kitchen?!?

So, guess what I did yesterday? I stitched! For like two or three hours. I worked on Sweet Pea Gazebo and added another butterfly to that band and then finished up the triple cross (except for the lazy daisies) and scotch stitch bands. I was almost finished the single cross eyelet band until I realized that half of the eyelets on the edges are over one not two like all the others! Why oh why do they do that? So, I have to frog *all* of it out! My butterflies weren’t that hard. I’m taking my time and only doing one at a time and doing another band and then coming back and doing another butterfly. Sue on the other hand didn’t fare as well. I think she ended up doing each butterfly three times which was my progress last year when I did them for my RR.
