Stupid Bird

We started eating at a table set up in the sunroom. That way we can watch the birds and squirrels. There are lots of bird feeders that the sellers left and even some squirrel feeds. Yesterday a female cardinal somehow got stuck in one of the squirrel feeds and couldn’t get out (stupid birdbrain!). I tried to take some pictures from the sunroom, but they have glare off the windows. The squirrel was hanging out in the little cabana while the cardinal went crazy trying to get out of the glass. Eventually I grabbed my jacket and went to free the silly thing. Of course I had to take a picture up close of the silly bird.

The move in almost complete (it goes slow with only a RAV4 and an F150!). DH will probably complete the rest of it today (he is home while I’m back at work). Then he will either start cleaning the old place or unpacking the new place for the rest of today. We are going to dedicate the rest of the weekend to cleaning up the old place.

Yesterday I figured out the house audio system and the living room surround sound. I’ve come to the conclusion that the surround sound system they left is pretty much worthless. The circuits for the rear speakers are blown. I’ve done some pricing and we are going to replace the receiver (probably with a Sony one) and eventually over time replace the speakers too. But for now we do have left, right, center, and subwoofer working. I also figured out the house audio system and can’t quite figure out why they did the things they did. The audio from the stereo goes into a “monster cable” box that has 4 outputs. He was only using 2. One of the outputs go to both the kitchen and the den while the second goes to the sunporch and deck. So, why didn’t he split it up into 4 zones since the box has that many outputs? One day that will also get upgraded to a multizone/multisource system with wall mounted controllers.
