Holiday Update

I’m almost finished the second Booga bag (just need to make the i-cord for the handles). I’m almost finished the first sock (just need to graft the toe Update – I just finished the toe at lunch and cast on for sock #2). I’m thinking about not making the hat for my nephew (at least as a Christmas present). So, between now and Saturday, I have to make the i-cord and knit another sock. I think it might be possible. If not, I might end up giving 1 and a half socks.

Yesterday was DH’s birthday. I got him Frigits and a torilla press (honest, it was what he wanted!). All day, I kept hearing the little marbles on the Frigits going down their tracks! He would just stand there and watch them. It is very addicting. Another tradition is to see a movie on DH’s birthday. Usually we have a great selection (past couple of years it has been Lord of the Rings). But this year there just wasn’t much out. So, we went and saw Lemony Snicket’s Series of Unfortunate Events. Maybe I’m being picky since I’ve read all the book out so far… but I don’t think it lived up to my expectations. While Jim Carrey was good, I think he added too much comedy to Count Olaf. But he did a great job with the different characters.
