Thermalgal’s Temperate Mumblings

I’m all ready!

Man, I can’t believe that I leave in less than 24 hours! Okay, based on how I slept last night I can believe it. I tossed and turned all night long and then got up about 6 am . I’m using those space bags to pack my luggage. I think they work great if you can get one that doesn’t leak. For the record in my pack of 4, at least one leaked. There is a second on that I’m not happy with, but I don’t know if it was my packing skills or if it is truely leaking. But I did start to get a bit carried away with the space bags… This is my stuff dog Roulf who travels with me everyone. He is quite the world traveller. Of course he has never gotten squished into a space bag. And don’t worry, I quickly released him and his pet duck right after I took the picture. Oh the reason I’m using space bags. Because I have to take all of my personal stuff in a carry-on bag and a backpack… for 10 days! The two suitcase allotment that each person has is being used to take supplies to the church in Honduras. If we need something that has to be checked (like razors or knives), we are going to have one checked luggage for everyone to put stuff into (all 15 of us!). So far I don’t need that, but I still haven’t figured out where my little bags of goldfish and teddy grahams are going yet. So, watch this space! I’ve set up the email-to-blogger address into my webmail address book, so *if* I can get to a computer, it should be fairly easy to post something. I don’t think I’ll be able to get any pictures up until after I get home. I am taking my digital camera, but unless they happen to have a compact flash card reader, I won’t be able to upload anything.
