I did manage to upload the picture of the house they built in Honduras last year. I just wanted to post this to show people what I’ll be doing next month. This house was built Jan 2003 in the time the group was there. It isn’t a big house, but it much much better than what the homeowner was living in before this house was built. I’m in a strange mood right now. I was supposed to be the only oboe in the next two concerts, which mean I had some solos and a cool duet with the piccolo. I thought I did a good job. Obviously, the saxophones didn’t agree with me. They called up the 1st chair oboe and convinced her that she needed to play in the next two concerts. So, I’m back to 2nd oboe… and instead of solos I get to just sit there and look pretty, which I guess I’m pretty good at. I was very very pissed off last night. I mean, who do the saxophones think they are that they don’t think I could hack it. I did a good job last week. I was very proud of my playing. And then to get slapped in the face the next week like this! I’m almost tempted to just take off the rest of the summer. They obviously don’t want or need me there…
