Life is too short…

Warning… this isn’t a post about stitching or knitting…One of my co-workers died yesterday. Last time we saw him was Jan 30 I think. Feb 2nd and 3rd he was home because of the bad weather. On the 4th he called in sick, on the 5th he was in the hospital, on the 10th he had open heart surgery and last night he passed away. I’m not sure if he had any health problems before this, if so no one at work knew about it. It all came as quite a shock.Before, the only people who I’ve know that have died have been my grandparents. But as we get older the odds catch up and more people you know start to pass away. I’m still in a bit of a shock. I mean, this is a guy who has an office down the hall from me. I was talking to another co-worker when the admin was starting to pack up the office. I don’t think she has had to do that before. She was kind of at a loss as to what to pack. We suggested just the personal things like the photos of his kids.But it really makes me glad that instead of trying to tackle the very icy roads, I spent this morning cuddling my husband.
