Purple Haze and Spiderman

I made it to the LYS yesterday and I went to the LNS right next door. They were both mobbed because of Super Bowl sales. But I got what I needed (well 3 out of 4 things). They were already sold out of the new Viking Knits book. I decided on Brown Sheep’s Lamb’s Pride Bulky Superwash before I went. I just needed to pick the color in person. I had a list of colors in my head and the only one they had was Purple Haze (even though Lichen put up a good fight). So, I am now ready to start my Gatsby!!We also went to my SIL’s for my nephew’s birthday. We called yesterday I think to tell them we were coming over and show up it turned into a party complete with cake and ice cream. DH’s parents were there (but they go over every Sunday for a couple of hours). The gift theme for this year (and the cool cake too) was spiderman. What else would a 3 year old boy want? Well, he also got a “motorcycle” which is actually a tricycle with Harley-Davidson stickers on it. He seemed to like the bucket of dinos we gave him and everyone like the dino book with googly eyes.I also have a progress scan for Noah’s Ark since the week is finished and I’m rotating to Spring Valley. This week I backstitched the Koalas and did the Rhinos and Polar Bears.
