Lazy weekend…

Like most weekends, the highlight was grocery shopping and dinner on Saturday night.  This time Henry sat on a booster seat instead of the high chair.  He is getting to be so grown up.  And it seems like every weekend we get two or three new words.  He doesn’t say yes or no yet, but he does nod his head emphatically when I guess correctly what he is trying to get across to me.  He even nods his head when I ask him a question.  The best was probably Saturday night.  After reading some books I asked him if he was ready for sleep and he actually nodded yes.  Then I asked if he wanted me to put him in his crib and again he nodded yes.  He was asleep maybe 5 minutes after his head touched down.  Definitely an approvement from a couple of weeks ago when it took over 2 hours to get him to sleep.

Also this weekend, I finally finished plying the Monster Mash.  I ended up with about 380 yards of 2 ply from 4 ounces so that puts it at a fingering I think (actually looking around it is a bit thinner than Socks that Rock which is 360 yards for 4.5 oz).  Since I’m trying to make sock yarn, I think I succeeded.  Eventually I would like to get a 3 ply fingering.

  1. Jenni, I think my little Ayame has a crush on Henry. :) She keeps pointing at his pic. :)
